PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION
Dear Employees and Business Partners,
On 25 May 2018, the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, repealing Directive 95/46/EC, known as the “GDPR Regulation”, is coming into legal force. This GDPR Regulation introduces various changes and new rules relating to the processing of your personal data while strengthening your rights as data subjects. ZSSK CARGO takes the GDPR Regulation very seriously and the company has been long implementing a variety of measures to perform its activities in accordance with the GDPR Regulation.
In this form, we would like to briefly describe to you how ZSSK CARGO proceeds in handling your personal data and how it protects it. Should you be interested in more detailed information on the processing of personal data by our company, please see the document entitled “ZSSK CARGO Personal Data Protection Policy”.
At ZSSK CARGO, we are committed to complying with all principles included in the GDPR Regulation. Since ZSSK CARGO engages in a specific business activity, we process a substantial part of your personal data because it is necessary in particular to meet the obligations imposed on our company by legal regulations, on grounds of concluding and performing applicable contracts, as well as for legitimate interests pursued by our company. ZSSK CARGO has likewise adopted several types of internal directives that govern in detail how to proceed in the processing of personal data, in the event of any security incident, or if you, as a data subject, exercise any of your rights given to you by the GDPR Regulation.
We pay particular attention to ensure the security of information and communication technology systems used in our company. We require that our business partners supplying us with information systems and applications or providing us with other information and communication technology services also observe such technical and organisational measures as to ensure the highest possible level of protection for your personal data and to prevent any unauthorised breach of your privacy.
It is in the interest of our company to process your correct personal data legally, transparently, and to keep it only for a justifiable time period. The protection of personal information concerns each of us. Therefore, if an employee of our company becomes aware of any personal data privacy breach, s/he is required to immediately notify the responsible person in ZSSK CARGO.
